Rocco's Busy and Blessed Saturday

March 24, 2012 was a long, tiring yet fun-filled and rewarding Saturday, spent well with some friends and good pal, Rocco Nacino. From an extremely hot morning to the very strong rains in the afternoon, all the events seemed to be a blessing to this one hardworking fella.

It was a busy and hectic day for Rocco as he spent the whole day attending to his commitments – from Eat Bulaga where he performed the Opening Number with beautiful Kapuso artists Heart Evangelista, Rhian Ramos, Sarah Lahbati and Pauleen Luna; a special stint in Startalk TX where he greeted and gave fan signs to a number of lucky fans in the show’s Tweet-X portion; his dance and technical rehearsals for Party Pilipinas; and finally, a glamorous evening at the Teatrino Greenhills for the 9th Golden Screen Awards for Movies. It was a great time for me as well to have experienced all these in just a day!

On our way from GMA Network Studio 7 to Teatrino Greenhills in San Juan, Rocco obviously was not feeling too well, but this wasn’t a bit evident in his public appearance. Being a registered nurse himself, he was smart enough and he certainly knew how to handle this situation. This is what’s most admirable about Rocco – he definitely loves his job and he’s so passionate about it that petty issues won’t ever bother him.

Prepped-up for the Golden Screen Awards!

All this day’s hard work paid off as Rocco got his 2nd acting award in his fresh showbiz career. He was chosen by the Entertainment Press Society as the Best Breakthrough Actor for his brilliant performance in his first movie, Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa, where he also got the same award from the PMPC Star Awards for Movies held last March 14, 2012 at the Meralco Theater.

Rocco's supportive family was with him at the Teatrino.

Indeed, Rocco is now living his dream. He is one lucky guy who is successfully turning all his dreams into reality – a busy career, a flourishing business venture, a healthy and fit lifestyle, and a happy and supportive family. He’s one blessed guy who’s reaping the fruits of his labor as he stays determined and focused while continuously working and striving hard.

Wait, what about his lovelife? Hmmm… Let’s talk about this next time. =)

  1. Congrats Rocco! He's a great actor and he deserves all his awards. I hope GMA would highlight him more.
