Callalily Returns with Flower Power

The popular Pinoy rock band Callalily has found a new home in their new label Universal Records, which will take charge of releasing their fourth studio album, Flower Power

I was privileged enough to spend an afternoon with the band members Kean Cipriano, Tatsi Jamnague, Aaron Ricafrente and Lemuel Belaro during their contract signing at the Universal Records office, where they afterwards performed live, some of the tracks included in their latest album.

I myself am a fan of Pinoy music, and Callalily gives me another reason to love OPM even more. Songs from their album are very heartfelt even if they sound rock-like. You can feel the dedication and enthusiasm exerted by the composers and performers by simply listening to their songs. Lyrics are superb and you can feel its deeper sense because they were put into perfect melodies.

They sang some of the tracks from their new album - Buhay and Sabik na Sabik. Both songs are awesome!

Lead singer, Kean Cipriano doing what he does best. Incredible voice!

Learned that some of the songs were personally written by the band members themselves, I’ve made myself an instant fan of them. I love folks that are passionate with their craft. Callalily is one of them – a band with members who don’t wish anything but to put a smile on everyone’s faces through their music. It was pretty evident that all of them are quiet individuals except Kean, but these differences in their personalities are never a hindrance for them to become one and unite for the love of good music.

The witty Kean answering questions from the bloggers... He always gives a smart answer!

Their latest offering, Flower Power is a celebration of good music, new beginnings and friendships. It was an album that blossomed into perfection after 3 long, eager years. When asked why the album was titled Flower Power, lead singer Kean quipped, “Callalily is a flower kaya Flower Power. Power of Callalily.” Then he added, “We don’t have issues with our gender and sexuality naman, so that’s okay. Secured kami.”

With the band members.

Flower Power has 11 original tracks, including the single, Pasasalamat, which trended on Twitter during the day it was released, and even became the best-selling single of www.mymusicstore.com.ph.

Callalily is expected to give a thrilling musical experience on their album launch this October 12 at the Eastwood Central Plaza. Be there and experience the powerful performance and eargasmic songs of Callalily! See ya there, Callalistas!

See ya, Callalistas!
Here's the band, inviting everyone to watch their grand launch.
