Rocco Celebrates with Cancer Warriors Foundation

Starstruck V’s 2nd Prince Rocco Nacino is undeniably one of the reality show’s most successful alumni. He is one of GMA7’s busiest actors today, even portraying important and historical characters like Dr. Jose Rizal, San Pedro Calungsod, and now as the fictional idealistic mayor, Joseph Santiago in GMA News TV’s first-ever original series, Bayan Ko.”

His afternoon drama with Lovi Poe, “Yesterday’s Bride,” which ended last February, also ruled its timeslot with sky-rocketing ratings.
Movie-wise, his last indie film “I Luv U Pare Ko”, also received innumerable positive reviews from movie critics, where he earned lots of commendations with his portrayal of a closet-and-eventually-loud gay.

He is also part of the upcoming comeback of the Richard Gutierrez and Marian Rivera team-up, “My Lady Boss.” He is also one of the lead stars of his upcoming movie with Gabby Concepcion, “Ibong Adarna.”

With all these gifts he continuously receives, the ever-grateful Rocco again celebrates his birthday by paying forward his blessings to the less fortunate. Spending a day with the less fortunate has always been a part of Rocco’s celebration, may it be his birthday or Christmas. Yes, it’s a semi-annual thing for Rocco and his family! 

This year, he has chosen the kids of Cancer Warriors Foundation as his beneficiaries. Kids always have a special place in Rocco’s heart. While everyone knows that he’s a Registered Nurse, only few people know that, had he not succeeded in showbiz, he was about to pursue a career as a pediatrician. Also, what makes these cancer-battling kids even more special to him is that his mom is actually a cancer survivor herself.

Held in McDonald’s Power Plant Mall in Rockwell-Makati, Rocco graciously distributed his gifts to the kids of the selected organization. His gifts include toys, vitamins and medicines, fruits, books, and he even added a certain amount since his family knows how pricey it is to battle cancer.

Aside from all these tangible gifts, Rocco’s kind-heartedness was also made evident as he gladly joined the kids while playing games, bringing genuine smiles to them and even to the parents. His equally-blessed and ever-supportive family also joined him in this yet another momentous celebration. His loving fans, the Roccofellas, were of course, present in this gathering, and even gave Rocco a surprise dance number!

As Rocco believes that while “we cannot do great things on this Earth, only small things with great love,” he ensures that he puts at least an effort to bring happiness to others through this kind of activity.  Kudos to you for having a real good heart, Rocco! These blessings will surely bounce their way back to you!
