AlKris Returns in Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko

The long wait is over for AlKris fans nationwide as the Starstruck superstars Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal's well-loved tandem returns with another TV series, Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko.

Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal returns in Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko

Originally titled as Prinsesa ng Masa, the successful tandem's upcoming series was then changed to Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko to avoid tension from the supporters of ABS-CBN's Melai Cantiveros, who, as claimed by her fans, is the real 'Prinsesa ng Masa'. Kris admitted that she got a lot of negative reactions especially in Twitter after the original title was released.

Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko is the newest primetime offering of the Kapuso Network with Kris playing the role of Princess - a persistent and determined woman who journeys her way through life's many challenges and stumbles upon an unexpected romance with Aljur's character, Nick. By spending time with Nick, Princess learns that the reason why she felt easily comfortable with him was because they are actually childhood friends in an orphanage.

Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko is a feel-good teleserye which will definitely warm the hearts of many viewers. It's an inspiring story about life, love and success through hardwork and dedication - something that many Filipinos can definitely relate to.

As a preparation for her role, and for her to portray an Avon lady effectively, Kris shared that she has actually undergone training on the direct-selling business. She also admitted that she herself is an Avon product user even before she was picked as an endorser.

Also, Kris shared that while she's not so busy on TV, she took her time to give herself trainings and workshops on various fields - took voice lessons and even attended Zumba sessions.

Kris was also launched recently as the newest Avon lady.

Aljur, on the other hand, has just signed up with MCA Music for a recording contract and revealed plans of releasing an album this November, which will be followed by his major concert to be held at the Music Museum.

Aljur is also set to release his album this year.

When asked what makes their loveteam a huge success, even the two of them can't explain clearly. The public knows that they are both in a relationship with other partners (Kris with Carl Guevarra; and Aljur with Kylie Padilla), but their impact as a couple is still unquestionable. They are still able to give that "kilig" feeling so effortlessly.

Kris and Aljur said that the natural "kilig"  they bring is probably because they know each other very well, and that they really are so close that there's always an indication of truth in almost all the scenes they do together. They romantic scenes are almost as natural and real as it get.

Clearly, there's an undeniable chemistry between Kris and Aljur.

Some of the supporting cast includes LJ Reyes, Renz Fernandez, Jan Manual and Carmi Martin among others. Directed by Dondon Santos, Aljur and Kris' comeback series will begin airing on September 23, 2013 on GMA-7 before 24 Oras, replacing Binoy Henyo.
